The White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps present their 2017 production: “WaterwayS”
It all begins with a single drop.
As water drops fall, they collect into puddles and pour into streams and currents. Rains fall from the sky in gentle showers and heavy downpours. Tributaries flow from tranquil streams to raging rivers that culminate in the power and majesty of Niagara Falls.
This year’s production is visually driven to illustrate the ripples and waves of water, the playfulness of currents, the serenity of rain, the power of a raging river, and the majesty of Niagara Falls. From a single water drop, it accumulates and gathers in mass and energy until it becomes a spectacle that is awe inspiring and powerful.
Drawing musical inspiration from Waterways by Ludovico Einaudi, Equus by Eric Whitacre, Rain by Brian Balmages, Bridge Over Troubled Waters by Simon and Garfunkel, and Niagara Falls by Michael Daugherty, the White Sabers continue to combine powerful music with innovative visual ideas to create a show that promises to entertain DCA audiences everywhere.
